Current Health Condition of Footballer Who Was Trapped in The Rubber For Hours After an Earthquake

A well-known Ghanaian footballer has been rescued after being trapped in the rubble for hours following an earthquake in Turkey that caused the building where he was staying to collapse.

Sadick Adams, a sports journalist, said Christian Atsu's teammates told his manager the news, but his club is expected to make an official statement soon.

Hatayspor Manager Mustafa Özat: “I just had another meeting. Christian Atsu was taken to hospital with injuries.”

According to Solo Para Futbolistas, the former Chelsea and Newcastle United winger is in hospital with a right foot injury and breathing problems.

The Ghana Football Association has asked fans to pray for the man who was stranded for hours. He has played for Chelsea and Newcastle.

Christian Atsu, 9 other players and 2 officials were on the 9th floor of the building when it collapsed.

Three players and one official were initially rescued. One of those rescued was on the first floor.
