‘Dirty’ Places In America That They Don't Want You To See

2. Camden, New Jersey - This city has a long history of industrial activity, which has contributed to environmental pollution and a decline in quality of life. It has been ranked as one of the poorest and most dangerous cities in the United States.

3. Anaconda, Montana - This small town was once home to a large copper smelter that operated for over 100 years. The smelter released large amounts of pollutants into the air, including arsenic and lead, which have had a lasting impact on the environment and public health.



4. Love Canal, New York - Love Canal was a small neighborhood in Niagara Falls, New York that was built on top of a toxic waste dump. In the 1970s, residents began to report health problems and birth defects, leading to the evacuation of the area and a major environmental cleanup effort.
