Do It In Your Rooms, We Are Not There - Nana Yaa Brefo Tells LGBTQ+ People

Nana Yaa Brefo, an esteemed journalist, has joined the ongoing conversations on social media regarding the LGBTQ+ community in Ghana.

Her remarks come after President Akufo-Addo made comments during a press conference with US Vice President Kamala D. Harris, who recently visited Ghana on March 26, 2023.

During an interview with Nana Romeo on Accra FM, part of the Angel Broadcasting Network, Nana Yaa Brefo expressed her belief that there is no need to legalize LGBTQ+ in Ghana.

She believes that it is time for a Ghanaian president to stand up to those who seek to legalize it and declare that it will never happen because it goes against the country's culture.

The Angel In The Morning co-host on Angel TV/FM went on to suggest that Ghana should follow the example of countries like Uganda and pass laws that criminalize LGBTQ+ acts as soon as possible.

Furthermore, Nana Yaa Brefo advised individuals who engage in such acts to do so in the privacy of their homes, rather than publicly.

She emphasized that many things happen in people's bedrooms that are potentially more dangerous than the demands of the LGBTQ+ community, but they are not spoken about because they are not seen.
