Dr. Paa Bobo’s wife abused and ‘killed’ him; seized all his properties – Daughter

Dr Paa Bobo's wife mistreated and abused him, and after his death she confiscated all his property. His daughter narrates the story to Auntie Naa.

The late Ghanaian artist, Moses Kwaku Agyapong Danemah, popularly known as Dr Paa Bobo, passed away on 28 December 2013.

After a battle with illness, Dr Paa Bobo died at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, according to various media reports.

The renowned musician's daughter, Abena Benewaa, claims her father's marriage cut short his time on earth.

Speaking on Auntie Naa's Oyerepa Afutuo show, the woman said her father's wicked wife, Ama Nyanta, prevented any of his family members from getting close to him while he was alive.

She claimed that whenever a family member visited Paa Bobo, his wife Ama Nyanta would beat him and throw him out of the house.

Abena Benewaa claims that Paa Bobo's wife repeatedly assaulted, kicked and slapped him. Even when she lived there with her father, she was kicked out.

She therefore believes that her father's death was caused by the beatings and other abuse he suffered.

When my father was alive, no one could approach him because his wife Ama Nyanta would beat him whenever a family approached him (Paa Bobo). She used to kick and slap my father. She even kicked me out of my father's house. I think my father, Dr Paa Bobo, was beaten to death by Ama Nyanta. She said.

Abena Benewaa went on to say that when her father died, Ama Nyanta took possession of all his assets. Paa Bobo could not take care of his children because of her, even though he had no children with her.

She claimed that Ama Nyanta had died and that her family had inherited the late musician's assets. Oyerepa Afutuo was supposed to help locate all of her father's assets in Accra.
