Drama as popular singer’s wife chases away fan who climbed stage to grind him [Video]

According to the proverb, every calm husband has a no-nonsense woman behind him, and the same is true with Bien Aime Baraza, a well-known Kenyan singer, and his wife Chiki "Kuruka" Onwukwe.

Bien, the lead vocalist of one of Africa's most enduring bands, Sauti Sol, performed with his wife at a radio event.

On the night, they performed a fan that included a choreography that had the crowd cheering.

But they had no idea that a hurricane named Chiki would make landfall a few minutes later on an obnoxious fan.

The female fan wiggled her bottom while standing behind an uninformed Bien in an effort to draw the famed singer's attention.

She believed Bien's lack of response to be a cue to start dancing erratically, but Chiki, who also serves as Bien's manager, was not having any of it.

She shocked witnesses by descending to the stage and chasing the female fan away.

In addition to criticizing her spouse, Chiki questioned the security guards for letting a fan climb a stage and, worse even, approach near to the lead singer.

Divergent opinions have been expressed in response to her behavior; although some have praised her for asserting her authority as a wife and manager, others have claimed that she showed signs of insecurity.
