The NDC candidate for the Kumawu by-election, Kwasi Amankwaa, has expressed his concerns and accused the NPP of engaging in vote buying and bringing mentally unstable individuals and elderly citizens to voting centers according to a publication by 3News. He finds it distressing that the NPP allegedly purchases votes, distributes money, and coerces these individuals to claim disabilities when casting their ballots. During a visit to voting centers on May 23, Mr. Amankwaa shared his observations and grievances with Ibrahim Abubakar from Media General. He has taken the matter to the police and the Electoral Commission, Ghana (EC) for resolution. According to him, individuals who are mentally unstable should not be allowed to vote.
