EyeLashes: Doctor Shares The Pains This Lady Went Through

If you look up "eyelash extensions" or "fake eyelashes" on the Internet, you'll find a lot of ads for local salons and articles that go on and on about the fashion trend. Even the Kardashians have their own line of false eyelashes that they sell. You might not find information on how safe eyelash extensions are unless you look for it.

One of our medical advisors, Dr. Orly Avitzur, M.D., says that one of the risks of eyelash extensions is an allergic reaction to the glue used to attach the extensions. Another risk is that the glue can wear away the inside of the eyelid. "And that can hurt your eyelashes in a way that can't be fixed."

The risks are the same whether you get simple glue-on extensions or fancy ones that can cost hundreds of dollars at a salon.

A doctor with Twitter handle (@drpenking) shared what a lady went through because of eyelashes going wrong.

He Tweeted: For Ladies who wear "Lashes" ,be careful of the glue they use on you, and make sure you're not allergic to it.
They had to flush her eyes out 4X. If she had slept, she would've woke up blind. It was not the normal glue she uses but a new glue. Stay safe.
