F9 Students Are Running The Country And The A1s Are Sitting On The Bench - Nana Yaa Jantuah

According to Nana Yaa Jantuah, General Secretary of the Convention People's Party (CPP), the economy of today is being run by F9 students.

She said this during a television debate on Wednesday. She claims that the government has not sought suggestions from different groups to better govern the country. She made it abundantly clear that although there are more people in the nation with superior management skills, this government has chosen to ignore them. She described these people as A1 students.

She said, "The A1's are sitting on the bench and the F9's are running the nation".

She went on to say that a minister in the NDC government once asked a former opposition MP for ideas.

She gives the current economic leadership a grade of F9 in her opinion. She believes the Akufo Addo-led government has failed miserably.

Nana Jaa Jantuah is not the first person to express disapproval of this government. Even senior officials of the NPP government agree that the government could have handled some sectors of the economy more effectively.

Most of Ghana's problems have been blamed by the Akufo Addo-led government on the Covid-19 outbreak and the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. Ghana is not alone in 'suffering' as GDP growth has slowed in most of the world's major economies.
