Female Uber Driver Stabbed To Death By A Passenger For This Shocking Reason

The passenger is said to have killed his victim from the back seat of her car in Louisiana, US, on Thursday, Dec. 8, after she picked him up for his trip.

A female Uber driver has died after being murdered by a passenger. The killer "just wanted to kill someone," according to the police.

Brandon Jacobs, who is 29 years old, is accused of stabbing Yolanda Dillion, who was 54 years old, to death and then posting a video of the bloody scene on Facebook.

The passenger is said to have killed his victim from the back seat of her car in Louisiana, US, on Thursday, Dec. 8, after she picked him up for his trip.

He then walked to a hotel where he had already reserved a room, but police stopped him because they thought he had done something wrong.

Sheriff Joseph Lopinto told the press at a press conference that Yolanda had been killed. He also told the press about Jacobs' alleged confession, in which he is said to have told police why he killed Yolanda on Thursday.

Lopinto said, "Basically, what his confession said was that he woke up yesterday and decided that he was going to kill someone and that was going to be his day."

"We directly asked him, 'How did you choose her?'" His answer was, "I didn't choose her, Uber did." She was the person who picked him up that day out of the blue.

"He was sitting in the back. She was stabbed from behind. "They just got out of the car and walked away."

Yolanda worked as a budget administrator for the New Orleans Police Department, and her coworkers loved her.

Superintendent Shaun Ferguson said, "She will be sorely missed. She was very humble and quiet. I'd say she was a quiet giant, because she was important to this department and her death hurt our employees."

The suspect was caught "within hours" of the murder, according to a statement from the Jefferson Parish Sherriff's Office.

"Our investigation has shown that the victim was an Uber driver who took Jacobs from a place in New Orleans to the hotel," they said.

"When the ride was over, Jacobs repeatedly stabbed her before getting out of the car."
