Actor Fred Nuamah is eyeing a parliamentary seat for the National Democratic Congress in the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency.

At the moment, no one knows who he will be running against, but John Dumelo contested the constituency seat on the National Democratic Congress (NDC) ticket for the 2020 elections.

Lydia Seyram Alhassan of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) beat him to win the seat.

Like his friend John Dumelo, Fred Nuamah is in the film business and has made films that Ghanaians have enjoyed.

He is a film director and producer best known for his roles in movies like 'The Game', 'The Prince Bride', 'Amakye and Dede', 'Heart of Men' and '4Play'.

He founded the Ghana Movie Awards and is its Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The Ghana Movie Awards is an annual show that honours people who have done great work in the Ghanaian movie industry.

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced that both the presidential and parliamentary primaries will be held on 13 May 2023.

The party says people who want to run for parliament will have to pay GH¢5,000 for a form and GH¢40,000 for a non-refundable filing fee.

Forms for presidential candidates will cost GH¢30,000 and GH¢500,000 for filing, which is non-refundable.
