Ghanaian Woman Who Works As Caregiver In Germany Express Delight With Her Salary: “You Can Earn GH¢40k”

A caregiver from Ghana working in Stuttgart, Germany, says she is happy with the pay she receives from her job.

The young woman, known only as Pokuaa, gave Zionfelix a tour of the care facility where she works and described the difficulties of the job in caring for the elderly in an interview with Zionfelix Video on YouTube.

When asked if caregivers are well paid, the young woman answered emphatically in the affirmative.

She explained that because of the nature of the work, caregivers are paid well to encourage them to give their all.

A monthly salary of 5,000 euros or GHS65,000, according to Pokuaa, is an amount that is difficult to obtain due to significant tax deductions.

Although it is possible to earn 5000 Euros in this position, tax deductions prevent you from taking the full amount home. You will be happy with what you have left after paying taxes," she added.

Income tax for foreigners in Germany, according to records, can be as high as 40% for anyone earning around €5,000 a month, bringing the actual monthly salary to around €3,000 (GH40,000).
