Has Superintendent Effia Tenge ‘landed’ a juicy job in Parliament?

Effia Tenge, a well-known and respected Superintendent of Police in Ghana, has resigned from her position in the Ghana Police Service and is set to start a new job at Parliament House, according to a report by MyNewsGh.

Ms. Tenge, who spent most of her 18-year career serving in the Public Relations Department of the Ghana Police Service, has landed a coveted role at the Public Affairs Unit of Ghana's parliament as stated in a publication by MyNewsGh.

Ms. Tenge tendered her resignation last month and is expected to begin her new role this month. In a message announcing her departure from the Ghana Police Service, Ms. Tenge expressed gratitude to everyone who supported her during her time with the police, and hinted that she was moving on to a new opportunity after her exceptional service with the police.

As the Accra Regional Public Relations Officer of the Ghana Police Service, Ms. Tenge became well-known for her eloquence and affability. She later moved to the Volta Region to continue her work as a Public Relations Officer.

Aside from her professional training as a police officer, Ms. Tenge is a certified Public Relations professional, holding a Master of Arts degree in Public Relations from the Ghana Institute of Journalism, a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the Methodist University College, and a Diploma in Communication Studies from the Ghana Institute of Journalism.

She also has an M.A in Conflict, Peace, and Security from the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Center.
