Heartbreaking News: Three teenagers drown in White Volta at Naaga

Tragically, three teenagers lost their lives while trying to cool off in the White Volta river. The group of eight friends, aged between 11 and 17, had gone to pluck mango fruits from a tree near the riverbank. They decided to wash the fruits in the river, and ended up taking a swim as well.

Things took a turn for the worse when they began swimming towards the deep part of the river and couldn't keep their heads above water. Despite the efforts of a search party, who worked tirelessly for four hours, only two of the three drowned teens were found. Jessica Akolikiba's body was discovered the following day, while Nathaniel Baba was still missing as of the last update.

It's truly heart-wrenching to hear about such a devastating loss of life, especially among such young individuals. Our thoughts go out to the families and loved ones of the victims during this difficult time.
