Despite the economic downturn, a mother is overjoyed that her husband bought her a special gift.

Her son called her downstairs to the kitchen to "see something", according to a trending video on social media.

Unsuspecting, the mother rushed downstairs to discover a seemingly unimportant but delightful surprise. She had been served beautiful bowls of fruit salad by her husband.

She's clearly not used to such treats, judging by her reaction.
