Heavy rainfall causes serious destruction at Ahibenso

At Sehwi Ahibenso in the Bodi District, a lot of buildings and a car were destroyed by heavy rain.

The rain on Tuesday night caused several houses to collapse and lose their roofs. Residents were left stranded after the flooding.

The heavy wind that came with the rainstorm uprooted a cashew tree, which then fell on a Kia Sportage car that was parked nearby.

Some of the people told Augustine Boah of Adom News that they are having a hard time right now because they have nowhere to sleep.

The heavy rain has ruined their clothes, beds, mattresses, and other things. They asked the government, good-hearted people, and business organizations to help them.

Also, Akwasi Nketiah, one of the people whose car was damaged when the cashew tree fell on it, told Adom News that his car can't be fixed.

He said that chainsaw operators had to work hard to get the heavy log off of his badly damaged car.

Stephen Armah, the Assemblyman for the Ahibenso district, has asked the government to help them because they can't handle the situation on their own.
