How A Vigilante Group Rescued A Woman From Kidnappers

A middle-aged woman who had been taken by kidnappers in Anambra State was saved by the Nnewi Central Vigilante Group in the Nnewi North Local Government Area.

The woman, named Ogedimma Ndubisi, was taken from the Coscharis bus stop on Ozubulu Road in Akamili-Umudim, Nnewi, on November 1.

It was said that she was taken when she was waiting for a commercial vehicle to take her home from work in the evening.

But the woman was said to be free again on Thursday, exactly one month after she was taken.

After the vigilante group stepped in and did a successful operation, the kidnappers let her go.

Chief Maduka Atuenyi, who is in charge of security in the Nnewi community, said this was true.

"The woman was targeted by the kidnappers when she got off work, and they took her. She had to wait for a car to take her home.

While she was still waiting at the bus stop, three men with guns got out of an SUV, forced her into it, tied her up, and drove away.

"When the Nnewi Central Vigilante Group heard about it, they went after the people they thought were kidnappers. When their car fell into a ditch, they left their victim behind and ran away.

The person who was saved praised the bravery of the security officers and thanked God for saving her from the kidnappers.
