How Bawumia Turned A Funeral Into A Rally

In more ways than one, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is a politician who defies the odds when stacked against him. The digitalization agenda, which has been his main policy since he took office, has made many people look at him funny because it is different. His gold-for-oil policy is another strange idea he came up with recently to solve a problem that has been going on for a long time.

Bawumia's unconventional personality seems to be paying off in more ways than one. At a time when the country is facing a lot of problems and politicians are still not well-liked, Bawumia seems to go against the grain turning a funeral into a rally.

At the funeral of Dr. Dominic Eduah's late mother over the weekend, the Vice President was constantly surrounded by people who wanted to talk to him. He didn't mean for this to happen, but it did.

The funeral was held at Ajumako in the Central Region. It was led by the Executive Director of the GNPC Foundation.

The Vice President and some other NPP members went to the funeral, but when his name was called out, the crowd went crazy.

As the funeral turned into a temporary rallying point, people couldn't get away from him fast enough.

The crowd also cheered a lot for Samira Bawumia, who was there with her husband.

The cheering crowd showed support for Dr. Bawumia's expected run for president.

Dr. Bawumia is now used to crowds of people cheering for him.

A few weeks ago, the people of Tamale cheered for Bawumia after he paid for the renovation of Tamale's Central Mosque on his own.

Bawumia gave the finished project to the people in charge of the mosque, including Shaykh Abdul Salam, who is the Regional Chief Imam.

During the ceremony, the leaders of the mosque thanked the Vice President for his act of kindness, and the crowd cheered him as a hero.

Bawumia is expected to run for the position of NPP flagbearer, but he hasn't officially said so yet.

Alan Kyeremanten, a former minister of trade, Kennedy Agyapong, a member of parliament for Assin Central, and other candidates are likely to give him a lot of trouble.

Even though Bawumia hasn't officially declared his candidacy yet, many political experts see him as the clear frontrunner for the job. Images like this one show how he gets a very different response from voters than most of his other competitors.
