How I Dated My 48-Year-Old Girlfriend Because She Wanted A Child, But Ended Up Killing Her -Suspect

A man who is 31 years old told BBC News Pidgin today that he killed his lover, Ijeoma Phillis Chimboli, 48, with a pestle so that she wouldn't ask him to marry her. Edeh Tochukwu Christian, who was from Nara Unateze in Enugu State's Nkanu East Local Government Area, said that his lover, Ijeoma Phillis Chimboli, was too old to get married.

In an interview on Sunday, the suspect said that he met his 48-year-old girlfriend on Facebook. After talking with her for a while, she told him that she needed him to give her a child and that she was in love with him, so they started dating.

As time went on, they moved into the same apartment together, and because the victim was richer than the suspect, she took better care of him.

The suspect went on to say that the deceased used to take good care of him and that there was a time when she gave him N100,000 every month to help take care of the house and buy things that were needed in the house.

But, unfortunately, the suspect couldn't live up to his expectations again, so Ijeoma stopped giving Christian money and started being rude to him in the house.

Edeh Christian Tochukwu said that at this point, the dead person made him a house servant and made him do all the housework.

The suspect said this about the dead person's personality: "I won't lie, she was a good person who often bought me things that would make me look good. She has a business that has to do with clothes."

Edeh Christian Tochukwu said, when asked how the dead person died, "When we didn't understand each other, I asked for the key, but she wouldn't give it to me. She went back inside and got a pestle to hit me with. I hit her back of the head out of reflex, and she fell and started crying. She died in the end."
