How Shakira Discovered Gerard Pique Was Cheating On Her After Looking Through Fridge

Shakira "figured out" that her ex-boyfriend Gerard Pique was cheating on her when she came home from a trip and found some jam that had been eaten while she was gone.

The 45-year-old Colombian singer and the 35-year-old Barcelona icon broke up last summer after being together for 11 years and having two sons.

More information has come out about what happened when they broke up.

When Shakira opened her home fridge, she reportedly saw that a jar of jam was almost empty. Several South American news sources said that Pique and their kids don't like jam, which made her suspicious.

Mum-of-two Shakira has mentioned the alleged affair in her music, most recently in the music video for "Te Felicito."

In the music video, Shakira opens a fridge and finds the head of the song's co-writer, Rauw Alejandro. Fans think this means she found the "truth in the fridge."

ShowNews Today says that there are rumors that Pique wouldn't have eaten the jam because he doesn't like jam, so she thought that he was "cheating."

Shakira and Gerard broke up in May of last year, after 11 years together.

Pique is now with 23-year-old Clara Chia. Since last October, the two of them have been together.
