I Did Not Know My Husband Was Taking Us To Forest, He Only Said We Should Relocate

Today, early in the morning, channels television showed a video of an interview with Halima Abdullahi, a woman who escaped the Boko Haram terrorists' enclave and lived to tell about it.

Halima Abdullahi said, "I didn't know that my husband was taking us to Sambisa Forest. He only told us that we are moving to the state of Jigawa." The man's wife went on to say, "When we got there, we were in such a terrible situation that we didn't think we would survive."

When Halima Abdullahi talked about the years they spent there and how they got out, she said, "We lived in the Sambisa forest for two years, until the Nigerian military came and attacked us. During their attack, they killed my husband along with other people."

Lastly, Africa for Peace Development and Empowerment, which helped Halima Abdullahi and other survivors get training, asked the federal government for help so that the survivors could live normal lives without being judged.
