I Fear For Hajia4Reall - Lawyer Ampaw

Lawyer Maurice Ampaw recently shared his thoughts on the extradition of Mona Montrage, popularly known as Hajia 4real, from the UK to the US for her involvement in a romance scam. In an interview on Wontumi TV, Lawyer Maurice Ampaw expressed concern for Hajia 4real, emphasizing that her chances of escaping justice are slim due to the unwavering and incorruptible legal systems in the US and UK. He also took the opportunity to shed light on the prevalent issue of romance scams in Ghana.

Lawyer Maurice Ampaw highlighted the fact that Hajia 4real wouldn't be able to manipulate the system in the US because the judges there are known for their firmness. He drew attention to the numerous individuals in Ghana who are engaged in romance scams, easily identifiable by their lavish lifestyles and generous donations.

The outspoken lawyer didn't stop there; he also raised concerns about the unexplained wealth of certain individuals, including pastors, and criticized the Economic Organised Office Crime (EOCO) for not taking sufficient action. He pointed out that many people are amassing wealth without any clear source of income, and even pastors in Ghana own around 50 houses. Lawyer Maurice Ampaw lamented the presence of corrupt politicians within the system as well.

Hajia 4real was apprehended at Heathrow Airport in 2022 after attending the Ghana Music Awards in the UK. Although she was granted bail, she remains under surveillance as authorities continue to investigate her alleged involvement in internet fraud.

In conclusion, Lawyer Maurice Ampaw's remarks underscore the belief that Hajia 4real is unlikely to evade accountability in the US due to the strict legal systems in place. Additionally, he drew attention to the prevalence of romance scams in Ghana, the unexplained wealth of certain individuals, and the need for authorities to take more decisive action against corruption in various sectors, including religious institutions and politics.
