The old man told the local press that he met the pretty woman at a nightclub in Maragua and thought he had found the best thing ever until he realized he couldn't pay his bill. The nanny said that her relative ran a factory and had just sold something valuable.

On November 10, 2022, he went to the town of Maragua for a short time. He planned to stay there for a few days looking for a good place to start a business selling boiled meat. He stopped at a roadside bar and drank a couple beers to get his voice back. Within minutes, both men and women were sitting at his table, so he decided it was best to celebrate with them.

He paid Ksh6,300; the bar was supposed to close at 11 PM; the woman at the table told her that she didn't need to make a reservation at the inn, even though the bed was quite big. The woman warned the man twice, but he didn't listen. Instead, he went after the woman.

He stayed at her apartment for six days, and they did everything together, from taking baths to going to bars to going to bed. When the woman heard about the man's business idea, she tried to get a loan and Ksh450,000 to pay for the storefront, permits, and other things that were needed.

On her last day, she went back to his ATM and said she needed to use it for an emergency. That was the last time he saw her. He had a bill for Ksh3,000, but when he went to pay it, he only had Ksh8 in his account. When he got to the house and found the door locked from the outside, it was clear that something had gone wrong. When he called the woman, she told him that her husband, who was in the military, had just come back from Somalia and was having fun at a bar nearby.
