“I am taller” – Kenyan tallest man furious with records

The tallest man in Kenya doesn't agree with recent records that say a man from Ghana is the tallest man in the world.

He posted a picture of himself on social media and said that he is taller than the Ghanaian man. This was his way of arguing against the record.

Negewo Jima posted a picture of himself and Sulemana Abdul Samed with the message "Never give up" on Facebook.


He had said before, "Bring him if you want, but this guy won't be taller than me."

Later, Mr. Negewo told the BBC, "From what I can tell from the pictures, he's not taller than me."

At 7 ft. 4.6 in., Mr. Negewo is thought to be the tallest man in Ethiopia (225 cm).

Some people said at first that the 29-year-old Ghanaian was 9 feet 6 inches tall, but a BBC reporter measured him and found that he was only 7 feet 4 inches tall.

Other Ethiopians have said in the past that they were taller than Mr. Negewo, but they were wrong.
