I have always known Rev Kusi Boateng as Adu Gyamfi – National Cathedral

Dr. Paul Opoku-Mensah, who is in charge of the National Cathedral project, said the has always known Rev. Victor Kusi Boateng as Adu Gyamfi.

Dr. Opoku-Mensah says that's the home name of the person who started the Power Chapel Worldwide.

Dr. Opoku-Mensah said on Accra's Asaase Radio that the names shouldn't be a problem. He said a Supreme Court decision says that a person can use both his home name and other names.

"I've always said that we respect his desire for accountability and welcome the investigation. It's important that a question of this kind be done in a fair way," he said.

This is because North Tongu MP Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa said some bad things about the man of God, who is also the Executive Secretary of the project's Board of Trustees.

The lawmaker has said Rev. Kusi-Boateng is doing illegal things because he has two names and multiple passports with different birth dates.

In a previous expose, Mr. Ablakwa said the National Cathedral Secretariat sent GHS2.6 million in cash to a company called JNS Talent Centre Limited for work that was never done.

He said that Johannes Eshun, Sheila Eshun, and Kwabena Adu Gyamfi were in charge of the company.

In a related post on Facebook on Monday, he said that Kwabena Adu Gyamfi doesn't exist.

He thinks that Rev. Victor Kusi-Boateng made up Kwabena Adu Gyamfi and that the two are the same person. This is why he needs to step down and may be prosecuted.

But the CEO has said that there is nothing illegal going on.

He also said, "He [Okudzeto] sent it to CHRAJ, so we will find out the details."
