I’ll Defeat Ofosu Kwakye In NDC Parliamentary Primaries – Prof Nana Ama Browne Klutse

She is hoping to become the next NDC candidate for the constituency in the elections scheduled for 13 May this year.

Prof Browne Klutse, who hails from Nyanfeku Ekroful in the AAK Constituency, said she is the best parliamentary candidate to win the seat for the NDC in the next presidential and parliamentary elections.

In an exclusive interview with a MyNewsGh.com reporter, Hajia Asana Gordon, The youngest professor in Ghana, said she would change the economic situation in the AAK constituency if elected to represent the area.

Prof Nana Ama Browne Klutse is hoping that NDC delegates from the AAK constituency will vote for her to lead the party in the next parliamentary elections.

"If I win the primaries, I'm sure the general election won't be as difficult as it will be in 2020." Prof Browne Klutse boasted.

She said, "I want to contest because I think we need leadership in the Abura Asebu Kwamankese (AAK) constituency. The leadership hasn't been very good because the people of AAK haven't got the development they want.

The Associate Professor said, "I didn't start working in the AAK constituency when I came into politics. I started working there when I was a child". As soon as I finished my PhD in 2010, I went back to AAK to help with community development, personal development through education, finding jobs and scholarships for people to see what I could do for development. Prof Browne Klutse, who represented Ghana on the United Nations' Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), promised to use her experience to lobby the United Nations to change AAK internationally.

She urged all her opponents, including Felix Kwakye Ofosu, to run a good campaign to make it easier to get along after the election.

"All my rivals should also remember that the most important thing is to win the general elections. It doesn't matter if you are an MP because you don't gain much if you are an MP in opposition, so let's not do things that will hurt the party.”

She concluded by saying:

"It is important for the NDC to be united going into the 2024 general elections. That's the main way we will win the general elections," she said.
