I will never withdraw from NPP Flagbearer race – Kennedy Agyapong

Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, an aspiring Presidential candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has made it clear that he has no plans to withdraw from the party's presidential race.

During an address to party delegates in the New Juaben North constituency in the Eastern Region, Agyapong assured them that rumors of him dropping out of the race to support another candidate are false.

Agyapong aims to bring a grassroots tradition to the NPP, breaking away from the Dankwa-Busia-Dombo tradition, which is dominated by party elites. He wants to empower the grassroots to take charge and make a difference.

During his speech, Agyapong recounted his massive financial and logistical support for the NPP since its inception in 1993. He also criticized government appointees who have not contributed to the party but have become wealthy through their positions.

Agyapong promised to retire from politics and enjoy his wealth if the party continues to vote for people who take them for granted. He also spoke about his legal battles with investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas, stating that he has tamed him and thwarted his evil agenda against the NPP and the government.

However, Agyapong expressed disappointment that no NPP member supported him during his legal struggles against Anas.
