“If you don’t deliver twins in 1 year, I’ll stop practicing medicine” – Doctor claims

A Nigerian doctor's advice to a woman who wanted to have twins went viral on the microblogging site Twitter.

The woman had written on Twitter that she wanted to have twins and give birth easily.

“I want twins and I claim it. Easy birth too. Amen,” she tweeted.

In response, the doctor with the handle @the beardedsina gave her a "100% foolproof" plan for how to have twins. He even put his career on the line to prove that it was true.


He told the woman to go to the Igbo-Ora community in the state of Oyo and eat a lot of their yam and Ilasa soup. If she didn't have twins, he said, she should try again.

Buy their Yam, Eat it well and eat their regular Ilasa soup consistently.
“If you don’t deliver twins in 1 year, I’ll stop practicing Medicine.”

People on social media have responded in different ways to his tweet. Some people have confirmed that the phenomenon is real, but they aren't sure if it's because of their yam and Ilasa soup.
