JUST In: Prof. Frimpong Boateng Invited as Akufo-Addo Orders Probe of Alleged Galamsey By Jubilee Hse

Professor Kwabena Frimpong Boateng, a former Minister of Science, Environment and Technology, has been invited by the police after President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo ordered a thorough investigation into his allegations that Jubilee House officials are actively involved in illegal mining according to a report by MyNewsGH.

Frimpong Boateng agreed to cooperate after receiving a letter from the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) of the CID, which was set up specifically to investigate the situation.

The SIU has been mandated to take over the investigation of the situation and report its findings to the President through the CID.

According to MyNewsGH, the Director General of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service, DCOP Faustina Agyeiwaa Kodua Andoh-Kwofie, received the order to investigate from the Presidency through the Chief of Staff.

According to their sources, the CID was not given a deadline to complete the investigation.
