Judge who exposed Tongraan’s secret plot flees after attack on his residence

Justice Alexander Graham, the Presiding Judge of High Court 2 in Bolgatanga, has left the Upper East Region following a surprise attack on his Bolgatanga home by several persons on Wednesday night.

According to sources, the men threw stones at the house, prompting the judge's bodyguard to call for reinforcements. The identity of the men and the reason for their attack are not yet known.

The men immediately left the area when they realised that a security force was on its way. Overnight, soldiers took control of the grounds of the judge's house and guarded it. Upon hearing of the incident, the Chief Justice, Kwasi Anin-Yeboah, reportedly ordered the judge to leave for Accra immediately. The judge was flown to Accra before dawn on Thursday after being escorted by soldiers at the Tamale International Airport.

The attack comes less than a week after Justice Graham convicted two people sent to him by Tongraan Nanlebegtang Kugbilsong, the Paramount Chief of Talensi.
