Kumawu By-Election: Humble Wontumi Kneels Before Electorates Again!

In a heartwarming display of humility, Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, the Ashanti Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), once again showcased his selflessness by kneeling before the electorates in Kumawu. In a video capturing the moment, Chairman Wontumi appealed to the people, respectfully urging them to vote for the NPP in the upcoming by-election. With a genuine sense of humility, he emphasized his role as a Regional Chairman and implored the electorates to support the NPP and cast their votes for Ernest Yaw Anim.

This is not the first time Chairman Wontumi has demonstrated such humility. Recently, he was filmed addressing a gathering at the Kumawu Presbyterian church while kneeling. However, the leadership of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) responded by assigning a member to openly mock Chairman Wontumi for his visit to the church. The NDC member commented on social media, making sarcastic remarks about Chairman Wontumi being on his knees and begging.

It's important to note that Kumawu is considered a stronghold of the NPP, and the party is expected to win the impending by-election. The by-election comes after the unfortunate passing of the late Member of Parliament for Kumawu, Philip Basoah. He will be laid to rest on May 20, 2023, and immediately after, on May 23, 2023, the Electoral Commission (EC) will conduct the Kumawu by-election.

In conclusion, Chairman Wontumi's humble act of kneeling before the electorates in Kumawu showcases his selfless dedication to serving his people. His plea for support for the NPP in the impending by-election reflects his commitment to the party and its candidate. Despite facing mockery from political rivals, Chairman Wontumi's humility stands as a testament to his character and the significance of the upcoming by-election in Kumawu.
