Lady calls off marriage as fiancé wants her to end communication with 'caring' baby daddy

In news trending on Ghana Twitter feed, a ady named Yvonne recently made the decision to call off her upcoming marriage because her fiancé demanded that she cut off all communication with her former lover, who is also the father of her child. Yvonne made it clear that she would not compromise the bond that her daughter shares with her father just to please her current partner. Despite her fiancé's assurance that he would take full responsibility for her and her daughter, Yvonne believed that it made no sense to cut off ties with her caring ex-lover. She stated that just because she had broken up with her ex-lover, it didn't mean her daughter should break up with him too.

Yvonne acknowledged that some women who are desperate for marriage may willingly do things to make their partners happy, even if it means neglecting their children, but she is not one of them. She also shared a WhatsApp conversation with her fiancé in which she told him that he could accept her decision or cancel the marriage.

Although Yvonne's post has divided social media users, with some condemning her and others supporting her decision, she believes that the bond between her daughter and her father is something she cannot compromise for the sake of getting married or fitting someone else's needs.
