Land guards attack, burn office at Ashalaja, See What Happened

Tensions are escalating in Ashalaja, located in the Ga South Municipality of the Greater Accra Region, due to suspected land guards who raided the Nii Akwanor Royal Family Land Secretariat offices and set the building on fire.

The group, consisting of about 20 men, injured two people who were part of the staff at the office with cutlasses. Hajia Alima Saidu, one of the victims, recounted her harrowing experience to Adom News, stating that she was pursued by the assailants and hit with a concrete block while trying to escape.

She is now traumatized by the incident.
The Atofohene of Ashalaja, Nii Kadri Osumanu, reported that the arsonists destroyed everything in the office.

He has called on the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to focus on Ashalaja to safeguard both lives and properties. Nii Abbey Akanfra, who is in charge of the Akwanor Royal Family Secretariat, expressed shock at the incident and urged the police administration to investigate the matter.

He mentioned that the perpetrators were caught on a CCTV camera, which he believes will aid in the investigation.
