Lookalikes Can Be Jailed For 10yrs If… – Lawyer Explains

The media industry in Ghana has recently seen a surge in the popularity of look-alikes of celebrities and artists such as Medikal, Kuami Eugene, King Promise, and Mr. Drew. This trend has given rise to a new group of look-alikes, dubbed the Four (4) Kings, who have generated much discussion.

However, some established artists like Medikal and Shatta Wale have issued warnings to these newcomers. This raises questions about the legality of this trend, and Ghanaian lawyer, Samson Lardy Anyenini, has shed some light on the matter.

During a phone call on UTV's United Showbiz, Anyenini explained that if these look-alikes impersonate the celebrities they resemble, they could face up to 10 years in prison. So, while it may seem like harmless fun to impersonate a celebrity, it's important to remember that it could have serious legal consequences.
