Love or Loan? Man Demands Refund of Ghc 35,000 from Ex-Girlfriend Who Refused to Marry Him

In a recent incident, a man from Ghana who owns a pub in Abidjan has expressed his disappointment towards his ex-girlfriend named Rita. He claimed that she took advantage of him and his money while they were in a relationship. He had been sending her Ghc 500 every two weeks for food, and even provided her with financial assistance when she wanted to get enlisted in Ghana Armed Forces.

The man stated that he sent her money every week when she was at the training centre because she lied to him that she couldn't eat the food they provided. He even took a loan of GHC 700 to give to Rita when he was broke. However, according to him, Rita and his mother connived to spend his money and then break up with him when they got what they wanted. He also mentioned that Rita refused to marry him after he passed out from the military, claiming that she didn't want to marry an uneducated man.

Now, the man is asking for a refund of the Ghc 35,000 he spent on Rita, with the condition that she should return the money if she is no longer interested in marrying him. He feels betrayed and heartbroken, and has even threatened to spiritually end Rita's life if she doesn't comply with his demands.

This situation highlights the importance of trust and honesty in a relationship. Both partners should communicate openly and honestly with each other, and not take advantage of each other's love or resources. It is also important to respect each other's goals and aspirations, and not use them as an excuse to manipulate or exploit the other person.
