Lyrical Joe Speaks Out: Fire Service Partially to Blame for Studio Fire Damage

Lyrical Joe, a Ghanaian rapper has shared his experience with a fire that broke out in his former label boss's studio, claiming that the Ghana National Fire Service was partially responsible for the damage caused.

The rapper, who was awarded VGMA 2022 rapper of the year, stated that he was in the studio when the fire started and managed to escape and call the fire service.

However, he claimed that they arrived late and were reluctant to respond to his call, thinking it was a prank.

The delay in their response led to significant damage, causing the breakup between himself and his label boss. Despite the setback, the rapper claimed that he eventually got his breakthrough after the fire incident.

In an interview with Ohemaa Acheampomaa on Onua TV’s Anigye Kaseɛ, he stated “When I called them, they thought it was a prank. They didn't believe me, they thought it was a joke, the call was around 11 p.m. By the time they got there, the fire had destroyed everything".
