A man from the Democratic Republic of Congo stepped on a landmine that blew up and killed his friends, but he still lived, though he lost both legs.
He had to look for a new job because his wife left him and treated him badly after she took his job.
Freddie Rugenge did acrobatics and stunts to earn money to feed his three children.
To support his family, a talented man turned to acrobatics as his main source of income.
After an accident left him with a disability, the father of three had to change his focus and start doing stunts.
Freddie Rugenge lost both of his legs while working as a security guard in a refugee camp during a civil war in 1996.
Bomb survival
Rugenge and some of his friends stepped on a landmine one day. It exploded, killing everyone except Rugenge, who lost two legs but lived. Afrimax English told this story.
