Man On The Run After Beating Pregnant Woman Over A Phone Call In Kwahu

Kwasi Nhyiraba, 36, also known as "Jonkey," is on the run after beating up his two-months-pregnant girlfriend.

The thing happened in Besease, which is in the Kwahu South Municipality of the Eastern Region.

Sarpomaa Gladys, the woman who is pregnant, says that her boyfriend beat her badly over the phone.

In an interview with Angel news reporter Oheneba Siaw, she said that the suspect, Kwasi Nhyiraba, took Sarpomaa's phone to the farm and got a call that she thought was from a man.

When he got the call, he went home and was very angry about it.

As if that weren't enough, the jealous man told his pregnant girlfriend to go with him to the side of the road to buy food, which she did.

On the way back home, the man, Kwasi Nhyiraba, started insulting the woman for no reason and then attacked her hard.

After doing the terrible thing, he ran away.

Later, some neighbors found the woman and rushed her to the hospital so she could get help.

The woman says this is not the first time something like this has happened.

The Chief of the Community, Nana Okyere Dartey, is worried because this is the second time he has seen something like this happen, but the victim has never gone to the police.

Nana said he has been telling the victim to tell the police about what happened so the suspect can be arrested, but she won't because she says no one will look after her and her kids if she reports the boyfriend to the police.
