In the Ashanti region near Adugyama, some of the Sabronum youth have been taking the law into their own hands. This behavior seems to contradict the phrase "law and order," as reported by Kessben FM’s Mallam Yaya.
Apparently, certain gang members in the Sabronum community have been acting recklessly for a few months, and they have the support of some of the elders in the community.
On market days (Tuesdays), the gang sets up a barrier on the main road leading to Sabromum and demands payment from people before allowing them to enter or leave the town. This illegal activity has caused concern among workers in Sabronum, especially those in the public sector.
The youth's lawlessness has also caused problems at the Sabronum Hospital. Recently, the hospital was closed for two weeks after one of the gang leaders, Kwame Nsiah, threatened and cursed hospital officials for overbilling his wife. This behavior is alarming and shows a disregard for the law and the well-being of the community.
