Man Who Returned GH¢290k Mistakenly Sent To Him Has Been Rewarded With Only GH¢1k

A mechanic who made headlines after he returned GH₵290,000 that was mistakenly sent to his account has revealed that he was only rewarded with GH₵1,000 for his honesty.

Timothy expressed that he has not been feeling well since he returned the money. He explained that he has been experiencing headaches and revealed the amount he received after his honest gesture.

The amount of money Timothy was rewarded with was met with mixed reactions, with some finding it inadequate. Timothy was rewarded with a token of GH₵1k for returning GH₵290k that was mistakenly sent to his account.
Chinonso Ndukwe, one of Timothy's customers, shared this information on Facebook.

He met Timothy in person and was impressed by his feat after reading about it online. He expressed his displeasure that the contractor rewarded Timothy with only N50,000 for his honest gesture.

A few days ago, a contractor publicly commended Timothy for returning N10.8 million that was mistakenly paid into his account. The contractor commended Timothy for reporting the erroneous transfer and promptly returning the money. He explained that the money was meant for a project and that he did not know it had been sent to the wrong account.

In conclusion, despite the mixed reactions that followed Timothy's reward, the grateful contractor urged people to patronise the mechanic, describing him as a good man.
