Man joins villagers to chase wife away for planting plantain on his mother’s grave

Because his wife planted a plantain tree on the grave of his late mother the day after she was buried, the man and his villagers were furious and drove her away to her relatives.

Ephantus Murimi, a resident of Kirinyaga County in Kenya, claims that his 45-year-old wife's actions were an expression of joy over her mother's death.

Before his mother died, he claimed that his wife and his mother had a strained relationship. He encouraged his neighbours in the village to chase the woman away.

We don't want her back, ever! We even took the three stones from her kitchen as a sign that we no longer want her," he allegedly claimed.

According to the Kameme TV report, the woman missed her mother's funeral a few days ago. However, she got out of bed, went to the cemetery and grew the plantain on the grave.

A local man was quoted as saying: "We are very angry because she also mentioned that there are three coffins and by planting the banana tree she showed her excitement that her mother-in-law is dead.

In a dramatic film, the woman is chased to her parents' house by the villagers and her husband, who declare that they no longer want her.
