Massive Demonstration By Liberians Aganst President Weah

Saturday, hundreds of people from Liberia gathered in a suburb of Monrovia to protest against President George Weah.

The opposition set up the protest because prices are going up and there aren't enough basic goods for everyone.

Ambrose Kamara, one of the protesters, said, "Our gathering here today will show the rest of the world that we are tired of everything going on in our country."

The leader of the CPP and a possible presidential candidate said that President Weah had failed.

Alexander Cummings, one of the leaders of the Collaborating Political Parties (CPP), said, "We are going to give President Weah a "F" because he has failed us as a people."

Lewis Browne, a spokesman for the CPP, said "We are here because of those who are sick of suffering and afraid to be here. This is the first step toward a new Liberia ".

President Weah has been out of the country since the end of October. After seven weeks away, he is expected to come back on Sunday.

In October 2023, Liberians will vote for a new president and a new government.
