Meet the famous gospel musician who worked for Daddy Lumba

Her journey to fame has been a long one. While many people have had the chance to become famous once, gospel artiste Selina Boateng has had to work her way up.

In an interview on DL FM, she revealed for the first time that she has been working behind the scenes for a number of artistes, including renowned highlife expert, Daddy Lumba.

Daddy Lumba's gospel song and other bangers featured Selina's mesmerising voice in the background.

She claimed that Daddy Lumba wanted to produce her music but she turned down the offer because she was already working with Big Ben Music Production.

She revealed that another background singer was used to sing her parts on all his tracks by mutual agreement.

“He wanted to release the song and produce me at the same time, but I had already signed a contract with Big Ben at the time. But everything happens for a reason; maybe God used it to lift up my replacement.” She stated.

But she recalls that her time working for Daddy Lumba was enjoyable. Working on the songs was not difficult, according to Selina Boateng, because the legend is very organised.
