NDC Agents To Drink ‘Ataya’ For 2024 Alert – Mahama

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has told its polling agents that they will be given 'Ataya' to keep them awake and alert during the 2024 elections to prevent vote rigging.

Locally brewed tea known as 'Ataya' is a popular beverage among residents of the northern part of the country. It is known for its ability to keep users awake and energised to perform any challenging task or work.

Former President John Dramani Mahama, who is vying to lead the NDC in the 2024 elections, said he thought NDC agents would perform better if they drank Ataya.

John Mahama openly declared: We will be serving our agents tea, coffee and 'Ataya' at the polling stations on December 7, 2024 to enable them stay awake and watch the results of the elections to help avoid rigging.

During his recent tour of the Ashanti Region, he addressed NDC supporters and members at Tafo in Kumasi, assuring them that if the 2024 elections were free and fair, the NDC would have a better chance of winning.

The results from all the polling stations in Ghana should be delivered to us by midnight on December 7, 2024, so that we can collate them, Mr Mahama said. We will definitely serve our agents with 'Ataya', he added.

The former president, who exuded a strong sense of confidence, asserted that nothing could stop the NDC from unseating the dysfunctional National Patriotic Party (NPP) government because "God is on our side for victory".

John Mahama said "God speaks to me and I hear His voice", appearing to be extremely pious and superstitious.

God has said the NDC will come to power in 2024, but we have to work hard.

To ensure that nobody rigs the forthcoming 2024 elections, he ordered all NDC branch executives in the 275 constituencies across the country to work hard and be extra careful, especially on election day.
