NDC Ex-Official and Accomplice Apprehended for Assaulting Journalist in Tamale

In a recent development, two individuals have been arrested in connection with the assault on a Tamale-based radio presenter. The suspects, identified as Iddrisu Hardi, also known as Pagaaza, and Mumuni Osman, were apprehended by the police on Monday, May 8, 2023.

The attack occurred during a live studio discussion at Dagbon FM, where Abubakari Sadiq, the presenter, was targeted. The police had earlier expressed their commitment to apprehending the culprits and ensuring that justice is served. After the incident, the police visited the scene, but the suspects had already fled. However, through the aid of video footage obtained, the investigation progressed.

Both Iddrisu Hardi and Mumuni Osman are currently in custody, cooperating with the ongoing investigation. They are expected to face legal proceedings in court.
