NDC Parliamentary aspirant inflicted with cutlass wounds in robbery attack

Solomon Nana Frimpong, a National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for the Abuakwa South Constituency in the Eastern Region, was injured in a robbery attack.

According to reports, Mr Frimpong was attacked at about 3 o'clock on Tuesday at Kyebi Aman.

He was admitted to the Kyebi Government Hospital after the suspects severely cut his left arm and ribs with a machete.

Narrating his story to Adom News, Mr Frimpong alleged that the suspects, posing as his supporters, stole GHS20,000 which was part of the money meant for his registration fee.

One of them then confronted Mr Frimpong, pulled out a knife, demanded that he hand over the money he was holding and left him bleeding in his car.
