NPP’s JFK, Stephen Ntim have been a disappointment – Gyampo

The General Secretary and National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have been a gigantic failure, according to Prof Ransford Gyampo, a political science lecturer at the University of Ghana.

In its recent elections, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) elected a new Chairman to run the affairs of the party for a period of four years and replaced its General Secretary.

When General Secretary Justin Frimpong Kodua ousted John Boadu, whom the party's grassroots had described as ineffective, with an overwhelming majority, a lot of faith was placed in him.

Most people thought it was time for someone who could lead the party back to its respectable past, while at the same time understanding their problems.

But Prof Gyampo, a political analyst, says the NPP's leadership has been ineffective.

In a social media post announcing his stance, he wrote: "JFK has so far been a big disappointment. Stephen Ntim seems to have outlived his usefulness. Notwithstanding their recent betrayal, they both seem so easily manipulated compared to their NDC counterparts whose decisions carry the weight of law.

Making his position known in a post shared via Facebook, he said “JFK has so far been a massive disappointment. Stephen Ntim looks like his time is passed. They both look so manipulable, compared to their counterparts in the NDC, whose orders carry the force of law, in spite of the recent betrayal they suffered”.
