Kojo Bonsu, is a presidential aspirant, says former first lady Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings is the reason he likes the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
He says he fell in love with the party because of how it treats people who are less fortunate.
"My cousin Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings is my uncle's daughter. It is because of her that I joined the NDC. She was my mentor," Kojo Bonsu said in an interview on Asempa FM's Ekosii Sen show on Wednesday.
He said as someone from the Ashanti Region, he almost joined the ruling New Patriotic Party when it was just starting.
"When the NPP was formed, I went to meetings with President Akufo-Addo," he said.
But Mr. Bonsu said "discrimination in the NPP" made him change his mind and join the NDC.
He said joining the NDC under Rawlings was one of the best things he had ever done in politics.
