Nat Geo Uncovers How Syndicates Steal Cars From US To Ghana

An illegal syndicate that smuggles stolen cars from the US to Ghana has been exposed in a documentary released by National Geographic (Nat Geo), an American television channel.

The documentary highlighted the process involved in arranging for the stolen cars to be shipped to the Tema Port in Ghana.

In an interview with two members of the syndicate, the journalist was briefed on the criminal group's operation, including the hiring of someone to hack the payment systems at the port to avoid paying the required import duties.

Despite the illegal nature of the business, one member of the syndicate claimed that it had created wealth for many people, including some family generations. The documentary has been met with disappointment by netizens who have expressed their disapproval of such criminal activities.
