No One Can Take Jomoro Seat Away From My Mother - Fantana

Fantana, a musician from Ghana who performs under the name Francine Koffie, has commented on her mother's victory in the Jomoro seat case. No one, according to her, could rob her mother of the Jomoro seat.

Her comments follow the Sekondi High Court's dismissal of a petition challenging Mrs. Affo-eligibility Toffey's as the MP for Jomoro on Monday.

She shared a photo on her Snapchat account with the remark, "My queen won her lawsuit!!!!" in response to her mother's success. LEADER. No one will be able to deprive you of your position as Jomoro's MP for the foreseeable future. You put in a lot of effort.

It is important to note that Joshua Emuah Kofie, a resident of Nuba-Mpataba, petitioned the Sekondi High Court to challenge Dorcas Affo-Toffey, an MP for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) because she was ineligible to serve as a legislator. After all, she was a dual citizen before the 2020 election.

On June 22, 2021, the Sekondi High Court, headed over by Justice Dr. Richmond Osei Here, issued an order requiring Mrs. Dorcas Affo-Toffey, the Member of Parliament for Jomoro, to provide documentation demonstrating the renunciation of her Ivorian citizenship within ten days.

On Monday, November 21, 2022, the High Court rejected the petition that questioned the MP's eligibility to serve as a legislator in Ghana.

Justice Dr. Osei Hwere dismissed the petition because the elected MP lost her Ivorian citizenship when she became a Ghanaian citizen.
