Notorious ‘Galamsey’ Site Robber Gunned Down

Unknown attackers have killed the leader of a notorious gang in the Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipality of the Western Region, who has been allegedly terrorizing illegal miners. Agye Nyame Sulemana, also known as Sulley, was returning from a "usual operation" with his gang when they were attacked.

The gang, armed with pistols, knives, and other weapons, moved from one galamsey site to the other, robbing illegal miners of their gold and money.

The gang leader was severely wounded and was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Two other gang members were also arrested and are in the custody of the Tarkwa Police Command.

The gang is known to target miners on break and use their ammunition to threaten and attack them. However, the wife of the deceased has refuted reports that her husband was an armed robber.
